Family members have identified the elderly woman killed in a hit-and-run in Sacramento on Saturday as Lien Dang, ABC 10 reports.

Police say the crash occurred near Lemon Hill Avenue, Stockton Boulevard and Lemon Park Way, KCRA 3 reports. They received a call about the cars around 8:37 p.m.

The driver had fled by the time authorities arrived, The Sacramento Bee reports. Officials pronounced Dang dead at the scene. Police have not made any arrests in connection with the hit-and-run and no vehicle description is available.

According to her family members, Dang had been in the area to help feed the hungry and homeless, ABC 10 reports.

“For her to do be killed while doing a good deed is heartbreaking,” her daughter, Angela Chen, told ABC 10. “My mother is a very loving giving and most caring mother and grandmother to all of us and even people she doesn’t know… like the homeless.”

The family has set up a GoFundMe campaign to help with funeral and burial costs.
