An off-duty police officer is under arrest in the shooting of her girlfriend and one other, reports the New York Daily News.
Police sources tell the paper that NYPD Officer Yvonne Wu, 31, is under arrest. She’s accused of shooting the two women after discovering her girlfriend with another woman.
The New York Post reports that the other woman, Jamie Liang, 24, is dead and that the girlfriend is in stable condition.
Wu is a five year veteran and works in the 72nd precinct in Brooklyn. The shooting happened in Bensonhurst.
According to the Daily News, the dispatcher who took the 911 call could hear someone in the background yelling “That’s what you get.”
A neighbor down the street said she could hear the disturbance.
“It’s like a pop, pop, one, two, three. Then four and maybe five,” said Theresa DiGirolamo.
