In just two years, Vietnamese American comedian Huey Haha attracted 4.5 million views on TikTok, 450,000 subscribers on YouTube, and another 200,000 on Instagram.
His death was announced on his Instagram account Wednesday.
“Rest In peace to Huey Ha,” the announcement read. “Huey Ha passed away October 25, 2021. He loved and appreciated every single one of his supporters.”
Just 22 years old, his real name is Harry Ha.
His TikTok account has already been deleted. No details of his death have been made public.
Insider reports he quickly gained a following with his short clips on TikTok.
He is survived by a 2-year-old daughter, Princess Ha.
A GoFundMe account to raise money for his funeral and to support his daughter has generated more than $33,000 from nearly 1,000 donors as of this writing.
Coby Jdn who organized the fundraiser posted a video of Haha on Instagram talking about his daughter.
“It’s just great dude, like, I just love it so much. I love it when I come home and then my daughter, she just comes running to the door and she just screams like ‘ahhhh!’ and then she runs around in a circle and she comes back and she hugs me. It’s like the best feeling, bro.” “You don’t really understand, like, fatherhood, until you’re in that. It’s really true.”
Ha posted his last video on YouTube just last week. In his act, he speaks with a street accent and uses off-color language.
There have been many unconfirmed rumors posted about the cause of death. It’s important to remember they are unconfirmed with many not citing any sources but making assertiions.
