New York City police are searching for a man who slapped a woman and made an anti-Chinese remark on a subway platform in early December, NBC New York reports.
Police say the man approached a 58-year-old woman at the 174th Street subway station on December 1, News 12 reports.
Surveillance footage taken around 6 a.m. shows the man slapping the woman. The woman raises her hand up to block another strike.
The woman suffered minor injuries to her face. She refused medical attention.
Police allege that the man also made an anti-Chinese comment during the incident. NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident as a possible hate crime.
No arrest has been made.
