The first episode of “The Book of Boba Fett” is now streaming on Disney+.
In the series, Temuera Morrison plays Boba Fett. Ming-Na Wen stars alongside Morrison as Fennec Shand who has helped Fett take over the crime empire after Jabba the Hutt, CNN reports.
Reviews of the first episode suggest it is unclear where the story may be heading. However, critics seem to believe Star Wars fans will enjoy the show
“The premiere didn’t contain many clues, frankly, on where the overall story is heading, but with such an abundance of action and “Star Wars” nostalgia, nor did it really need to,” Brian Lowry wrote in his review for CNN.
Critics have also praised the chemistry between Morrison and Wen.
“Paired with Wen’s confident cool, they make a solid central duo,” Daniel Fienberg said of the two characters in his review for The Hollywood Reporter.
Daniel D’Addario, a critic for Variety, did not discuss Wen’s performance in-depth. He simply described her as “excellent.”
