The Asian restaurant owner who shot a would-be robber in York City, Pennsylvania, will not face charges for the shooting, ABC 27 reports.

Last Tuesday, January 4, 34-year-old Rickey Cox was shot and killed on the first block of North Penn Street at the Asian Best Chinese and Thai Cuisine Restaurant.

A report from the York County Coroner’s Office said that Cox was shot and killed while attempting to rob the restaurant owner of Asian Best at gunpoint.

After an investigation, authorities have now determined that the incident was a justifiable homicide, Fox Baltimore reports. The owner will not face charges.

The restaurant has announced that it will not be reopening after the traumatic events that took place on January 4.
