A video of a man punching the suspect who shoved an elderly Asian woman in Oakland is being shared online.
On Monday, an Asian woman in her 70s was shoved to the ground in broad daylight. The Oakland Police Department was unable to locate the victim and is still searching for the suspect. A witness says the victim sustained only minor scratches.
Now a video has surfaced of a witness punching the attacker as he fled the scene.
Dion Lim, a reporter for KGO-TV San Francisco, shared the video on Twitter.
The man who punched the suspect told Lim he “doesn’t believe 2 wrongs make a right but this was a reactionary move.”
Lim noted that police have advised people not to intervene for their own personal safety.
