Nicolas Cage Expecting Child With His Fifth Wife Riko Shibata

Face/Off and National Treasure Actor Nicolas Cage is expecting his first child with actress Riko Shibata, as confirmed by a spokesperson for Cage.

This will be Cage’s third child as he is already the father of two sons from previous relationships: Kal-El Coppola Cage, 16, and Weston Coppola Cage, 31.

The actor confirmed the news of Shibata’s pregnancy, stating: “It’s true, and we are very happy.”

Cage is 58-years-old and met 26-year-old Shibata through a mutual friend in Shinga, Japan while filming the 2021 movie Prisoners of the Ghostland, according to CNN.

Cage proposed over FaceTime, added Radar Online, and shipped his engagement ring to Shibata through FedEx.

“She left New York and went back to Kyoto, Japan, and I went back to Nevada, and I haven’t seen her for six months,” Cage said. “We’re really happy together, and we’re really excited to spend that time together, so I finally just said, ‘Look, I wanna marry you,’ and we got engaged on FaceTime.”

The couple had a “very small and intimate” wedding at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas on Feb. 16, 2021 to honor his late father’s birthday, reports Radar Online

Cage and Shibata exchanged both Catholic and Shinto vows at the ceremony, with Shibata wearing a handmade kimono and Cage sporting a black Tom Ford tuxedo, The GOA Spotlight noted.

Cage’s previous wives include Patricia Arquette, Lisa Marie Presley, Alice Kim, and Erika Koike.
