Love is Blind star Deepti Vempati sent a thinly veiled message to her former fiance and co-star on the Netflix series, Abhishek ‘Shake’ Chatterjee.
The bra from Harper Wilde is marketed as being “all about choosing yourself.”
“The hardest and best decision I ever made was choosing myself, so I’ve partnered with Harper Wilde to inspire other women to have the courage to do the same. This bra is a constant reminder of the strength and resilience we exude every day,” Vempati says.
On the reality show Love is Blind, she ended up getting engaged to Shake, only to call it off on her wedding day. She didn’t know it at the time, but he had been making insensitive remarks about her- including that he didn’t find her physically attractive, “It feels like I’m with my aunt or something,” Chatterjee said.
On Harper Wilde’s Instagram account, Vempati is seen posing with the Bliss bra inscribed with the words “I’m choosing myself.”
Chatterjee at first refused to apologize to his ex, but eventually did due to backlash from fans.
She told the Daily Mail that the apology came a bit too late.
“I feel like he’s just doing damage control and clearly what he’s continued to do on social media since that apology, it’s evident that he does not care. He did that for show. He did that to get less hate but he’s not sorry,” she said.
He has since posted photos of his new girlfriend on Instagram saying “Good things come to those who wait, don’t settle.”
