Silk Sonic, BTS, Olivia Rodrigo, H.E.R to perform at 2022 Grammy Awards

Silk Sonic, BTS, Olivia Rodrigo and H.E.R are to perform at the 2022 Grammy Awards show on Sunday, April 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.  

Along with these artists, Saweetie and Japanese Breakfast are nominated for various awards for the big night. 

Silk Sonic is nominated for the Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best R&B song, and Best R&B performance for their hit song Leave the Door Open, according to KRON4. The duo will open this year’s Grammy ceremony.

BTS will likely perform Butter, Pitchfork reports. The seven-men K-pop group is nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the night. 

Olivia Rodrigo will also perform on the Grammy stage. She is nominated for six awards for Sunday night, including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best New Artist. 

H.E.R is to return to this year’s Grammy with eight nominations, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best R&B Performance, Best Traditional R&B Performance, Best R&B Song, Best R&B Album, Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song and Best Song Written for Visual Media, according to Pitchfork. She is also to perform at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Saweetie and Japanese Breakfast are both first time Grammy nominees this year.

Saweetie is nominated for Best Rap Song for the song Best Friend with Doja Cat and Best New Artist, KRON4 reports.

Japanese Breakfast is nominated for two GRAMMYs for the 2022 Awards. She is nominated for Best New Artist, another for Best Alternative Music Album, according to Grammys website.

“I’m so excited. Every single day, I say it out loud to myself,” Michelle Zauner of Japanese Breakfast said to CNN. “This is one of those things that you get to hold dear to you.”
