Police in Oakley near San Francisco confirmed Thursday that authorities in Washington State have killed the suspect in the disappearance of Filipino American Alexis Gabe.

KOMO reported Wednesday night that authorities in Kent near Seattle shot and killed a murder suspect who they say was holding a knife.

A woman who lived with the suspect told KOMO that police were investigating the disappearance of Gabe who disappeared in January.

The Oakley City Police Department confirmed that suspicion today.

As AsAmNews previously reported, police questioned Gabe’s ex-boyfriend numerous times, but would not say if he is a suspect.

Authorities confirmed the man killed was Gabe’s ex-boyfriend, Marshall Jones.

Her family found her car with the keys still in the ignition and they say she was last seen with her former lover.

Police acknowledged in April for the first time that they suspected foul play.

Authorities say they believe the suspect had help in the killing and said more arrests are possible.

Gabe’s body has yet to be found, but police believe she is somewhere in California and not Washington. The family says it is determined to find Gabe’s body and they will continue to search for her.

There is a $100,000 reward in this case and police hope that reward will lead to Gabe’s body and to possibly additional suspects.

Police have no motive in the case at this time.
