An elderly Asian couple is speaking out to ABC7 News exclusively about the home invaders who tied them up, gagged them and ransacked their home.
It happened on May 31 in their San Jose home when they say the culprits jumped over their fence and get inside their home.
The 82-year-old man and 72-year-old wife say the men used duct tape to cover their mouths and used their own belts to tie their wrists. They were then forced into their bathroom while the thieves went through their home.
“The fear started to set in when they started getting impatient,” she said. The suspects hit her husband over the head with a gun and found their ATM card. They then used their cell phone to call a translator to demand their PIN.
They even brought the couple to the bank to withdrawal money, but the bank was closed.
The whole ordeal lasted two hours.
“Just to do this consecutively a couple hours apart is very, very brazen,” said San Jose Police Officer Christian Camarillo.
