Authorities now believe a mother killed herself and her three children after her partner’s suicide.

Last weekend, police in Maplewood, Minnesota, searched for the bodies of a mother and her three children after responding to reports that the children’s father had shot himself. Police have now recovered and identified the bodies of the mother and her children, CBS News reports. Investigators have also determined the cause of death for each victim.

On Friday, police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Pearson Drive after 23-year-old Molly Cheng reported that her husband had shot himself. When they arrived they found the body of 27-year-old Yee Lee. Authorities say he died by suicide after shooting himself, KVRR reports

Police could not find Cheng and her three children after recovering Lee’s body. On Friday and Saturday, they searched for the bodies at Vadnais Lake where they had tracked Cheng’s cell phone.

Authorities eventually recovered Cheng’s body and the bodies of her three children aged 3, 4 and 5. An autopsy revealed that three-year-old Estella Zoo Siab Lee and four-year-old Quadrillion T. Lee died of smothering and drowning. Five-year-old Phoenix Lee died of drowning as did Cheng, CBS News reports.

The Ramsey County medical examiner determined that Cheng killed her children before drowning herself, KVRR reports.
