Hulu will be adapting Erik Larson’s bestselling novel, Devil in the White City, with Keanu Reeves set to star in the limited drama series, Rotten Tomatoes reports.
Devil in the White City tells the true story of serial killer Dr. H. H. Homes who created a “Murder Castle” on the grounds of the 1983 Chicago World’s Fair and Daniel H. Burnham, an architect who helped construct the fair.
Reeves will play Burnham, Hulu announced at the virtual TV Critics Association press tour, Yahoo reports. The casting for Holmes has yet to be announced.
Reeves will also be an executive producer along with notable names like Martin Scorsese, Rick Yorn, Leonardo DiCaprio, DiCaprio’s producing partner Jennifer Davisson, Stacey Sher, Sam Shaw and Mark Lafferty. Sam Shaw will be adapting the book to TV and Todd Field will direct the series. ABC Signature with Paramount Television Studios will produce as well.
The series will be eight episodes and is set to come out in 2024.
