Man wanted for allegedly attacking Chinatown security guard

Police are searching for a man who allegedly attacked a security guard in Vancouver’s Chinatown. The man failed to appear in court on Thursday, September 8, Global News reports.

Authorities say Kevin Aaron Hibbard, 44, attacked 64-year-old Harold Johnson on August 12 in Chinatown. According to The George Straight, Johnson had been patrolling Chinatown for nearly two decades on behalf of local merchants.

“I’m still traumatized, but I’m going to come back to work,” Johnson told CTV News after he was attacked. “I’m not giving up right away.”

Anyone with information on Hibbard is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at  1-800-222-8477.
