8-year-old Asian boy feared kidnapped found safe in Boston

The suspected kidnapping of an 8-year-old Asian Boy is now being called a misunderstanding.

Police put out an all-points bulletin after someone reported seeing a White woman grab a young Asian boy and drive off.

According to NBC Boston, students at a Boston University dormitory observed seeing the woman get out of a van, grab the boy and drive off.

It reportedly happened at the dorm at 700 Commonwealth Ave.

Police found both the suspect and the boy and determined it was all a mix-up. The boy is safe.

Police say they are glad citizens reported what they thought was suspicious activity and thanked the media for quickly getting out the information.
