Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao had some fun with Jordan Clarkson of the NBA’s Utah Jazz.
Clarkson got ejected earlier this week when he fouled Golden State Warrior Jonathan Kuminga across the head and then wrapped his arms around the neck.
The two exchanged words and a shoving match ensued with Clarkson going into a boxing pose.
“I see potential,” Pacquiao jokingly said about Clarkson’s boxing stance, reported Bleacher Report.
Clarkson is a rising star and one of just two Filipino Americans currently playing in the NBA.
The other is Jalen Green of the Houston Rockets.
The NBA fined Clarkson $15,000 for tossing his headband at an empty seat in a game against the Portland Trailblazer earlier this week.
“It’s been a good week for the NBA for them in terms of me giving them money,” Clarkson said to Clutchpoints. “I’ll probably get a fine tonight too for the flagrant (foul) and maybe ejection and whatever they thought was gonna happen. But I literally tried to kinda calm the situation down, you know, to a point.”
His statement was so ridiculous, Clarkson had to laugh at himself. Check out his reaction in this tweet from ESPN.
