Jaylin Williams gets career-high 8 points in win over Celtics

NBA rookie Jaylin Williams earned a career-high 8 points for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the team’s win over the Boston Celtics.

Williams was recently recalled to the Thunder after getting his first career triple-double with the Thunder’s G-League affiliate the OKC Blue. On Tuesday night, Williams helped the Thunder to a 150-117 victory over the Celtics, who are leading the Eastern Conference.

According to ESPN, Williams played 16 minutes and scored 8 points. He also had seven rebounds, three assists and two steals. Williams’ solid performance earned him a start against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night.

Williams is the first player of Vietnamese descent in the NBA.
