Padma Lakshmi’s daughter censors mom’s breasts

Padma Lakshmi is clapping back against criticism that she’s making her daughter uncomfortable about her breasts.

During a taping of a video she posted on Instagram, her 12-year-old daughter Krishma placed her hands over her mom’s breasts.

“What are you doing?” Padma asked as she looked down at her chest.

“Censoring,” Krishna responded.

“Censoring my boobs?”

“Yeah.”

“You ate off those boobs for 1 and a half years.”

Lakshmi says it was all in fun, but some followers criticized her parenting skills.

“As a mom of 4 daughters, there’s a time and a place and when it starts making our daughters uncomfortable because we are being objectified, time to take notice,” wrote one.

“If this wasn’t about showing your cooking talent I would think you were trying to do something else/ I never wear only a bracelet for cooking 🧑‍🍳 it is 😂 and sad 😢your daughter is smarter than you apparently 👏,” said another.

“No respect for your daughter,” said a third commenter.

Most of Lakshmi’s fans came to her defense.

“It was a joke her daughter was making a joke having fun with her mom. You people are out there man.”

“You have a great relationship with your daughter and it’s awesome!! she’s hilarious!!, said another.

For her part, Lakshmi replied “First all it’s a JOKE. And my daughter isn’t uncomfortable with me or my boobs or my posts, nor does she read these comments unless I show her because she isn’t on social media,” she wrote. “It’s really not that serious folks.”
