Lucy Liu is set to star alongside Octavia Spencer and Joseph Gordon Levitt in the upcoming comedy film Nobody Nothing Nowhere, Deadline reports.
According to Deadline, the film tells “the story of Ruth, one of the Non-People, human-looking beings designed and trained for the sole purpose of filling in a realistic world for a bland guy named Dave, the only person that actually exists on Earth. Tired of serving as an extra in someone else’s life, Ruth is ready to demand a life of her own.”
The film will be directed by Rachel Wolther and Alex H. Fischer and produced by Josh Penn and Michael Gottwald of the Department of Motion Pictures, Allison Rose Carter, Spencer, Gordon-Levitt and Liu. Filming is expected to begin during the summer of 2023.
Liu also has a number of projects slated to be released this year. She is starring in Prime Video’s Red One alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Chris Evans. She will also appear in Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
