Japanese soccer player takes Premier League by storm

Japanese soccer player Kaoru Mitoma is making waves in the Premier League, one of the world’s top soccer leagues.

Mitoma joined Premier League team Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. in August 2021 but was sent on loan to Union City that season. The 25-year-old made his debut for Brighton on August 13, 2022, entering the game in the 75th minute. A few months later, he scored his first goal for Brighton on November 5 during the team’s dramatic comeback win over Wolves.

The Premier League 2022/23 took a break for the World cup during the end of November and most of December. Since the season has resumed post-World Cup Mitoma has been on fire for Brighton. He has scored 5 goals in his last 6 premier league matches, including a dramatic, last-minute winner against Bournemouth.

Mitoma has been praised by pundits for his skillful dribbling.
