Stephanie Hsu, Son Lux and David Byrne will perform “This Is A Life” from “Everything Everywhere All at Once” at the upcoming 95th Oscars ceremony, according to a press release.
“This is a Life” was written by Byrne and Son Lux frontman Ryan Lott for Everything Everywhere All at Once, NBC News reports. It is nominated for a Best Original Song Oscar.
The song was originally sung by Mitski, a Japanese American singer-songwriter. Hsu will perform in Mitski’s place as the artist will not be attending the Oscars on March 12.
In a tweet, Son Lux said they were excited to perform at the ceremony and thanked Mitski for giving her “blessing for Stephanie to perform in her place.”
The Oscars ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at the Dolby® Theatre at Ovation Hollywood. Viewers can watch the telecast on ABC at 5 p.m. PT.
