Jeremy Lin’s wife has been a source of inspiration and support during his recent games for Kaohsiung Steelers in Taiwan.
In January, Lin announced that he was moving to Taiwan to play for the Steelers of Taiwan’s professional P. LEAGUE+ (PLG). He made his debut for the team on February 12, helping the Steelers snap a four-game losing streak with a win against the Formosa Taishin Dreamers.
Lin is leaning on his support system in Taiwan. According to China Christian Daily, Lin’s wife recently quoted Galatians 1:10, a Christian proverb, to him because he was nervous before a game.
“Am I now trying to please people or God?” she said to him, according to China Christian Daily. “As long as you do your best on the court, he will know.”
Lin and his wife have been married for a couple of years but the star did not reveal the marriage until a few months ago in an Instagram post.
“After many years of being together, I married my wife in an intimate ceremony and it’s been the highlight of my life ever since,” he wrote. “Finally sharing this beautiful day from over a couple years ago. I’m grateful to have found someone who loves me for who I am, to embrace my unique life, and to just do life with.”
