Police in Daly City just south of San Francisco say two young children witnessed a gunman kill their mother, reports Fox2.
Investigators believe the children’s father, ages 3 and 4, shot and killed 27-year-old Frances Kendra Lucero.
Officers arrested 27-year-old Romier Narag shortly after the incident and he is being held in San Mateo County Jail.
GMA Online reports friends of Lucero organized a Go Fund Me campaign to cover funeral and memorial costs. So far nearly $40,000 has been raised.
Additional money raised will go to Lucero’s family.
“Frances dedicated her life to her children and always spread the love she had to share. She was the most genuine, thoughtful, loyal and ambitious woman we’ve all been blessed to know. Frances was that friend that would help you celebrate good times and provide nothing but support during the bad times,” the Go Fund Me campaign states.
Narag faces murder and child endangerment charges and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, March 16.
The couple reportedly got into an argument on the way home from a family dinner and the suspect allegedly shot the victim multiple times.
