Fans stunned by death of Zombie Detective star Jung Chae-Yul

The management company for model and South Korean actress Jung Chae-Yul announced the death of the 26-year-old star today, reports E!

She is best known for her role on Netflix’ Zombie Detective.

“We have to deliver very heartbreaking and unfortunate news—actress Chae-yul left us on April 11th,” the company said in a statement to MK News. “Her funeral will be held privately in accordance to the wishes of her family, who must be in greater sadness than anyone else. We hope you pray for the deceased so Chae-yul, who was also sincere in her acting, may rest in peace.”

Fans expressed both shock and grief.

“She was so young and early in a promising career, wrote one on Twitter.

Another simply posted emojis of tears.

The CEO of Chul-yul’s management company broke down in tears in talking about her passing, reported The Independent.

“Our Chae-Yul was very hardworking. She was a deep-hearted and cool friend. In my opinion, it is hard to describe how amazing she was as an actress,” he said.

He urged fans not to spread rumors or speculate about Chul-Yul’s death, adding that no official cause of death had been released.

The actress also appeared in I Have Not Done My Best, and the 2018 film Deep.

Production on her next film Wedding Impossible has been halted following news of her death, according to the Daily Mail.

One fan called Chul-yul “little angel” under one of her latest Instagram posts picturing her contemplating life while sipping from a glass.

“Such kind and sincere,” wrote another about her.
