2 Mindy Kaling series get renewed for new seasons

It must be nice being Mindy Kaling.

The actress, writer and producer has two shows just renewed.

Never Have I Ever on Netflix is all set for its fourth and final season with Devi Vishwakumar (played by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) entering her senior year.

The season is set to kick off on Thursday, June 8.

The show created by executive producers Kaling and Lang Fisher is a coming-of-age comedy around the life of a first-generation Indian American girl.

It also stars Poorna Jagannathan as Maitreyi’s mother, Richa Moorjani as her cousin and Ramona Young and Lee Rodriguez as two close friends. Of course, no teenage show would be complete without two hot guys, Darren Barnet and Jaren Lewison.

HBO Max didn’t waste any time renewing The Sex Lives of College Girls for season 3. It announced the show would have a season 3 just a month into season 2.

DevDiscourse reports the same cast of characters are all expected to return, although no official announcement has been made and no premiere date has been revealed.

The cast includes Pauline Chalamet as Kimberly, Amrit Kaur as Bela, Reneé Rapp as Leighton, and Alyah Chanelle Scott as Whitney. In season 3, fans will learn whether Whitney and Kimberly will ever get back together.

“In episode 7, we get this glimpse of her at the end going down the path and sitting in this mental health bubble and thinking, and we’ve never seen that from her,” said showrunner and co-creator Justin Noble to DevDiscourse. “That’s the show giving her an opportunity saying, ‘Hey, sometimes what you’re doing can hurt other people.’ She thinks about it, and then the finale gives her a test, and she fails miserably.”

Mindy Kaling and Noble created the program.
