Ke Huy Quan recently responded to rumors that his character, Short Round, might make a brief cameo in the fifth Indian Jones film. Unfortunately, it sounds like Quan will not be appearing.
Quan was recently asked about a potential cameo during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“I want to say [yes], but no,” Quan said. “Here’s the thing. I don’t want to disappoint the fans. I’ve joked about it all the time, but reuniting with Harrison after 38 years, that was very special.”
The Oscar winner did, however, recently reunite with Indiana Jones director Steven Spielberg at the Time 100 Gala on Wednesday night, April 26. He and Drew Barrymore presented the renowned director with the Time 100 Impact Award.
“Steven introduced me to this world where his imagination lived and invited me in,” Quan said, according to Variety. “He showed me how much fun we can have when we let our creativity be our guide. My life has [been] made so much better because of him.”
