Lea Salonga and Jo Koy have joined the Broadway production Here Lies Love as producers. The disco pop musical is based on the life of the former first lady of the Philippines, Imelda Marcos.
According to GMA Network, Salonga made her debut as a producer on June 18. She posted a picture on Instagram of that night’s program, which listed her as a producer.
“Speaking of debuts, I’m making my own tonight as a BROADWAY PRODUCER! I blame this squarely on the mighty shoulders of @clintramos and @joseiswriting. What have you gotten me into?!?”
The show is currently in previews and will officially open on July 20. Salonga is set to join the cast
Jo Koy joined the musical as a producer a few days prior to Salonga, Deadline reports.
