Will there be a second season of “Ms. Marvel?” The answer could depend on the release of the upcoming new Marvel Cinematic Universe show “The Marvels.”
In a recent interview with The Playlist, the directors of “Ms. Marvel” Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah were asked whether a decision had been made about a potential Season 2.
“No, we’re waiting for ‘The Marvels,’ so that will decide what the next step will be,” said El Arbi. “So we’re very much looking forward to that. I can’t wait to see it, man. It’s great to see the trailers and to see the whole family back there and Iman Vellani doing great work, so looking forward to that.”
The first season of “Ms. Marvel” debuted on Disney+ in June 2022. It told the story of Kamala Khan, a 16-year-old Pakistani-American high school student from Jersey City who suddenly gains superpowers.
The six-episode mini-series currently has a 98 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
According to Comic Book Movie, Kamala teamed up with her idol Captain Marvel in the first season. A second season could give creators the opportunity to explore new storylines.
