Olivia Rodrigo announces surprise concert, raises money for women’s issues

Olivia Rodrigo and American Express are collaborating for a special concert date this week prior to her GUTS tour that begins February, reports Deadline.

Monday, October 9, Rodrigo will take the stage at the Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles, California, to perform songs from her new GUTS album exclusively for American Express card holders as part of American Express’s Member Week.

AXS states, “Tickets will cost $25, with all proceeds benefitting Olivia Rodrigo’s Fund 4 Good.”

This new nonprofit is hoping “to raise awareness for certain groups that are championing women’s issues in America and all of the other territories I’m going to. I’m very excited, and I think it’s going to be a very fulfilling and hopefully productive experience,” said Rodrigo, according to People. “Lots of the money is going to abortion funds to help provide some resources to people who are in need of reproductive healthcare.”

Unfortunately, Monday’s show is already sold out, to no surprise. But if you’re a fan and want to catch her performance online, it’ll be available this Tuesday evening through Thursday (October 10-12) on Rodrigo’s YouTube channel.
