This is what goes through one Asian American mother’s mind when she hears her son singing songs about ruling the world. First, she’s worried he might be plotting a hostile takeover with his Legos. Then, she envisions him in a tiny suit, addressing a room of stuffed animals as his advisory board. Should she prepare him for world domination, or just remind him to clean his room? In the end, she knows that teaching him to conquer his math homework is a solid first step toward global rule. Who knew that “2 + 2 = 4” could be the foundation for world domination? Watch out, world!
