Naomi Osaka is continuing to prepare for a return to tennis. The four-time Grand Slam champion spent the 2023 season off the courts as she gave birth to her first child.
Osaka shared videos on her Instagram story at the practice court in Brisbane, Australia, ahead of the Brisbane International. Several tennis media outlets also posted photos of Osaka practicing.
A week ago, Osaka also posted a note on Instagram thanking her fans.
“Thank you for believing in me and thank you for putting up with me. I know we’ve shared some really amazing memories and I also know that I’ve done some things that I would’ve handled differently (lol),” she wrote.
“Regardless of all that, thank you for allowing me to grow up on my own time and thank you for showing me a ton of patience. I don’t know what I did to deserve you all but I’m so extremely grateful.”
