Randall Park recently recreated a prank scene from “The Office” to promote John Krasinski’s new movie IF.
In the original scene from “The Office,” Park’s character pretends to be Jim (Krasinski) to prank Jim’s rival co-worker in the office Dwight (Rainn Wilson). Jim and his wife Pam take extra precautions to make Dwight believe that Park’s “Jim” is actually the real Jim, creating a family photo of Pam, “Asian Jim” and their kids.
Park reprised the role so to speak in a teaser trailer for IF. In the teaser, he introduces himself as Krasinski to Krasinski’s co-star Ryan Reynolds.
“You’re not John Krasinski. You’re Randall Park. John Krasinski is much shorter and less Asian,” Reynolds responds in confusion.
The trailer then shows Park talking about the idea behind the movie as if he were Krasinski. Park, unfortunately, will not appear in the film which is set to premiere in 2024.
