Labor leader Larry Itliong is credited with being one of the father’s of the west coast labor movement.
Although overshadowed by Cesar Chavez, he is one of those responsible for the formation of the United Farm Workers, a merger between the Agricultural Workers Organizing Committee which he led and the National Farmworkers Association led by Cesar Chavez.
A new play will be debutting next month honoring Itliong’s legacy. AsAmNews intern Almira Bianca Baldoza reports.
