Naomi Osaka’s production company Hana Kuma is developing an adult manga into an anime series called Allure: The Evening Primrose. The tennis star is set to voice the lead role.
According to Deadline, Hana Kuma is working with Rebel Maverick, a production company run by Matt Nicholas and Nastassja Kayln, on the project. It is based on the manga of the same name from Noir Caesar Entertainment.
Osaka, in addition to voice acting, will also serve as executive producer of the series.
Hana Kuma has been a way for Osaka to express herself creatively. She recently created a children’s book called The Way Champs Play.
The tennis sensation is currently playing in the Qatar Open as she continues her comeback from her maternity leave and mental health break. She’s won her first two opening matches there, her best performance since returning after nearly six months away from the game. She’s advanced to the round of 16 and her next match is today against Lesia Tsurenko, reports Sportskeeda.
