First Asian American BookCon to be held in Brooklyn

The Asian American Writer’s Workshop and Asian American Book Club will hold the first annual Asian American BookCon on Friday, September 27.

The event is free and open to the public. It will feature 40 different Asian American authors, publishers, literary organizations and non-profits including AsAmNews.

It will be held alongside the Brooklyn Book Festival which attracts 50,000 people annually.

Asian American BookCon will be held from 12-6 at the Hana House, a popular venue in Brooklyn for many events including those held by non-profits.

The Hana House is located at 345 Adams Street in Brooklyn.

AsAmNews is published by the non-profit, Asian American Media Inc. Please support our fundraisers.

Join us for a stimulating conference about issues that divide the Asian American communities. Our fundraiser Common Ground and the dinner after will be held October 26 at UC Berkeley.

Then purchase your tickets to Up Close with Connie Chung, America’s first Asian American to anchor a nightly network newscast. The in-depth conversation with Connie will be held November 14 at 7:30 at Columbia University’s Milbank Chapel in the Teacher’s College. All proceeds benefit AsAmNews.
