Philadelphia’s Sang Kee Peking Duck House reopens

Duck fans rejoice! Philadelphia’s Sang Kee Peking Duck House has reopened, a week after it was abruptly shuttered by the city due to electrical problems caused by steam and water damage, the restaurant said on social media.

“During this extraordinarily challenging time, your outpouring of support and offers to assist have meant the world to us. It’s because of your voices and encouragement, combined with the collective efforts of community leaders and city officials, that a temporary solution has been put in place — allowing us to reopen our doors,” Sang Kee said on Instagram.

The restaurant has been a popular mainstay in Philadelphia’s Chinatown for over 40 years.
