The Los Angeles Police Department is searching for four people who wore fake police uniforms during an apartment robbery in Koreatown, according to ABC7.
Police say the robbery happened at the Nari Koreatown luxury apartment building on Wilshire Boulevard and Vermont Avenue last Saturday at 2:40 a.m., per KTLA5. Three suspects wore black ski masks and “police-style” uniforms with fake radios. A fourth suspect wore a gray hoodie.
One suspect also had a semi-automatic handgun and took cash and jewelry.
Though assaulted, the victim was not critically injured and declined medical attention.
The incident has left residents, who say this is not the building’s first burglary, concerned whether another will occur. The residents also doubt the building’s security measures after wondering how the suspects went past the front desk.
The LAPD says the thieves are at large, and they describe them as being in their 20s and 30s.
