Trigger Warning: This story contains mentions of suicide
Shuefaub Xiong, a 42-year-old Domino’s delivery driver who went missing while on shift, has been found dead in St. Paul, Minnesota. Police confirmed he died by suicide.
Xiong came into work in Apple Valley on Jan. 14. Though he left to make his deliveries, Xiong failed to deliver four orders and did not return, after which he was reported missing, according to Patch News.
Police became further concerned when they found Xiong’s Toyota Camry abandoned in Superior, Wisconsin on Jan. 19, five days after his disappearance.
Authorities also suspected Xiong was experiencing a mental health crisis.
St. Paul police received a call on Tuesday from a house on Rice Street, FOX9 reported. Xiong’s brother told police Xiong was there struggling with mental health issues.
Xiong reportedly threatened to take his life and his family members, who said he had access to a gun.
The family left the home safely.
Police said Xiong ran from the home and shot himself. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
