Sarah Bock opens up on ‘Severance’ role and season 2 finale

Asian American actress Sarah Bock is making a name for herself on the critically acclaimed show Severance. She recently teased that the anticipated season 2 finale, coming this Friday, will be a “wild ride.” Comparing it to the season 1 finale, Bock told E! News that this season’s conclusion will not disappoint.

“I’m just personally excited for fans to see that and see maybe some more questions (raised), but also questions answered,” she said.

The 18-year-old actress plays the peculiar Miss Huang, the new deputy manager of Lumon’s severed floor. While her origins are questioned by the other characters, including her age, Miss Huang stays reserved and duteous to the floor manager, Mr. Milchick, and Lumon.

“I don’t really know the entire story of why she’s even there or her family history or anything about that,” Bock told Vanity Fair. “Most of it was just stuff I was kind of coming up with in my own imagination.”

Apart from her role on the hit Apple TV+ show, Bock is also a freshman at Northwestern University, where she studies theater and psychology, according to USA Today. She’s been watching the season with her friends and looking back on her start on the show.

Before auditioning for Severance at 15-years-old, Bock had never actually watched the show. It wasn’t until she got the audition she binged the first season in one sitting and became a fan. The young actress started filming the show when she was 16, though her onscreen character appears to be younger.

Miss Huang made her exit from Lumon in last week’s episode after Mr. Milchick prematurely ended her fellowship. Unlikely that she’ll be in the finale, it’s also unclear whether she’ll appear in season 3.

“Just make sure you’re sitting down, make sure you’re hydrated and prepare yourself,” Bock said regarding Friday’s episode.
