The Joy Luck Club reunion is no cause for celebration. Amy Tan built her success by throwing Asian men under the bus and glorifying white men, crafting a narrative tailor-made for white approval. Her work isn’t representation — it’s betrayal. She played the Uncle Tom role to perfection, selling out her own for a seat at the table. Thanks, but no thanks.
