Man accused of trying to burn down mom’s house jailed

A Georgia man authorities say attempted to burn down his own’s mother’s home has been rearrested after allegedly violating a judge’s order.

The Daily.com reports the Clayton County Sheriff Department first arrested Khanh Pham in September after they say he took a match to some newspaper and set a small fire in his mom’s house. Authorities say Pham was high on methamphetamine and became angry when his mom refused to give him money to buy more drugs.

According to KCTV, deputies released Pham after he posted bail just last week. They rearrested him after they said he violated a judge’s order to stay away from his mother.

“Not only did he return, he brought some methamphetamine and began smoking in the house and fell asleep”, Sheriff Victor Hill’s office wrote.

Crime Online reports he now faces additional charges of  violating a family violence order, possession of a controlled substance, and contempt.
