Man arrested after Chinese nationals killed on U.S. marijuana farm

A suspect has been arrested in connection with the killings of four Chinese nationals on a marijuana farm in Oklahoma.

According to NBC News, Wu Chen, 45, was arrested in Miami, Florida just before 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Chen is now awaiting extradition in Oklahoma and will likely face charges of murder and shooting with intent to kill.

Authorities suspect that Chen killed four Chinese nationals “execution style” and injured one Chinese national at a rural marijuana farm in Hennessey, Okla., The New York Times reports. They believe that the suspect and the victims knew one another.

“They all know each other,” Capt. Stan Florence of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said at a news conference, according to The New York Times. “Don’t know if they’re related, don’t know if they’re co-workers, but certainly, we believe they were all familiar with each other.”

According to BBC, investigators say the families have not been notified yet because of a “significant language barrier.”
