Teenagers on bicycles viciously assaulted a man at a Downtown Los Angeles intersection, robbing him while stomping on his new car-causing significant damage.
Video shows about 30 teens totally surrounded the man as he got out of his car to inspect the damage caused after he said one of the teens threw a bottle at the vehicle.
KTLA reports the incident got out of hand when Shailoobek Bazarbai Uulu tried to drive pass the teens after the bicyclists cut in front of him at Olympic Boulevard and Hope Street on August 2.
Uulu suffered a broken leg after being kicked and punched while on the ground. He is an asylum seeker from Kyrgyzstan and has only been in Los Angeles for a year.
“They destroyed my car, totally,” recalled Uulu to KABC. “It was like a brand-new car I bought six months ago. They were jumping on my car. They were jumping on the roof of my car. They were insane.”
Janeth Garcia saw what was happening and did what she could to get Uulu out of trouble.
She held him up and brought him to safety.
“I physically got in there. I just jumped in and shoved my way in to find the guy and once I knew I had him I got him up and took him with me,” Garcia recalled
Another person recorded the whole incident.
This is what L.A. has come to,” the man said while filming. “Dog, I’m not even playing. I literally just parked. These kids are wild, not older than 20.”
Uulu has set up a GoFundMe page asking for assistance that has so far raised $5,000.
No arrests have been made in the case.

This will continue to happen and someone will get killed unless someone does something to catch them and jail them and make them pay for their crime. if they are underage, their parent’s should be held responsible for their crime. I can’t believe no one helped him but stood around with their cell phones to record the incident. They should come forward and turn over their cell phones to law inforcement to help catch to mob that did this, so they don’t do it again. CA needs to get tougher on crime and vote out all those elected officials that are not helping to solve this problem. I’ll get off my 🧼📦
Nothing is going to happen. Especially for a recent immigrant. I am Mexican-American and I noticed many brown and black kids. These teens don’t care. And neither does law enforcement. Now if the victim were a white person with very rich family there would be FBI involved.
