President Barack Obama has called on more Indian Americans to fill the ranks of his administration than any other president before him, reports IANS in a story published on TwoCircles.net.
This past week Nisha Desai Biswal (pictured) became the Assistant Secretary of State for Central & South Asia.
Obama has appointed at least ten Indian Americans since his re-election in November alone.
The president’s comfort with the South Asian American community goes back to his days in college when two of his roommates were from Pakistan.
Although Pakistan and India aren’t the best of friends, it hasn’t deterred the president.
