OC Register: Jeremy Lin Scores Season High 29 Points in Lakers Win

Jeremy LinJeremy Lin scored a season high 29 points in a Laker victory over the Philadelphia 76ers 101-87 Sunday, but the game left some Laker fans grumbling.

The Sixer loss solidified Philadelphia’s hold on the third worst record in the NBA. The Lakers have the fourth worst record in a race to the bottom for the top pick in the NBA draft.

The Lakers will lose their number 1 pick to the 76ers if they drop out of the bottom 5 in a deal via the Phoenix Suns.

One blog site Fansided even named Lin the Least Valuable Player last night for not tanking the game.

Poor Jeremy. He can’t win even when he wins.

Coach Byron Scott told the OC Register that losing wasn’t a consideration and that he coaches every game to win.  Lin says he was just having a good time.

“I’m just really happy about it,” Lin said. “It was fun to be in that environment tonight and just have that health. I felt pretty explosive and stuff like that. It was fun.”
