On Tuesday, Nick Cho, a famous coffee barista and businessman, tweeted that a man in San Francisco called him a “dumbass ch*nk.” The incident occurred after the man apparently tried to pass Cho in his car.
“I was driving and turned left onto Brannan and as he was clearly speeding, he had to slow down behind me and leaned on his horn for a while then whipped around in front of me and started to get out of his car,” Cho continued in his tweet. “I got out of mine. Then he yelled ‘dumbass ch*nk.'”
Cho took out his phone to take a picture of the man who knocked the phone out of his hand after Cho took the picture.
“He sped away like the little racist coward he is,” Cho continued in his Twitter thread.
Unfortunately, the man’s actions severely damaged Cho’s phone.
Cho is a successful barista living and working in San Francisco. According to Chefsfeed, Cho founded murky coffee which became one of Washington DC’s hottest coffee bars. He is currently the co-founder, co-CEO and head barista at Wrecking Ball Coffee in San Francisco.
On Tuesday, Cho said Wrecking Ball Coffee also received a racist email response to a job post. The email called Wrecking Ball Coffee racist for not hiring white men.
It is unclear whether or not these two events are connected.
