KPCC: Vietnamese Americans Mourn Death of Pop Star Icon

CandlesVietnamese American pop icon Duy Quang has died of lung cancer at the age of 62, reported KPCC.

Fans in the Little Saigon area of Westminster near Los Angeles mourned his death.

“The community has been playing his records more and putting his albums up in store windows,” said Anh Do, a reporter for the Los Angeles Times.

Quang became a pop music icon in Vietnam in the 1960s. He came to the United States and settled in Orange County in 1978.
