scales of justice inbalancedA Chinese American businessman whose family says was tortured into making a confession faces long odds in China as he prepares to go on trial Monday for extortion, kidnapping & violence, reports UPI.Com.

Well over 9 out of 10 people prosecuted in China get convicted, so defense lawyers know they are facing an extremely difficult battle.

Vincent Wu is accused by Chinese authorities of being a ruthless mob boss who ran an illegal Casino. His daughter says her dad is a businessman who sold his home near Los Angeles to build a shopping center in China.
