Former Superbowl champ & MVP Hines Ward hopes to show the positive side of athletes. Since retiring from the NFL, he’s been a sports analyst, Dancing with the Stars Champ and now Positive Athlete role model. Oh, did I mention he’s also training for the Ironman Competition?
Ward talked to Whirl about wanting to see his Positive Athlete program spread to every city in America.
“I lived all those struggles and battled all the naysayers for most of my life,” said Ward. “Through my foundation and the work I do with kids, I see how hard it is for them too, and what a huge difference a smile or a word of encouragement is.”
